What happens if my direct debit or card payment fails?

Modified on Fri, 20 Dec at 4:19 PM

If your direct debit payment fails, you will receive an email notification from our partner, GoCardless, letting you know that we were unable to process your payment. Depending on the reason for the failure, the direct debit may automatically be retried.

In addition, you'll receive an email reminder with a payment link, allowing you to pay by card if you prefer. However, if your direct debit fails and you decide to pay by card instead of waiting for the direct debit to be retried, please contact Hokodo before making the card payment to avoid a duplicate charge.

If your card payment fails, you will also receive an email notification informing you of the issue. Your card payment will not be automatically retried. You'll be provided with a payment link in the reminder email, allowing you to attempt payment again by card.

If your payment fails at any point, don’t hesitate to contact us at support@hokodo.co, and we’ll assist you in resolving the issue.
